Pierce Brosnan (1953- )

Pierce Brosnan was Born on May 16, 1953 in Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland. Since his stardom in the 90's Brosnan has established himself as both a notable actor and producer.

In 1980 Brosnan was married to Cassandra Harris. They remained together until she lost her battle to ovarian cancer in 1991. While married to Harris Brosnan legally adopted her children, Charlotte and Christopher, after their father died in 1986. He also had a child of his own with Harris, Paris. In 2001 he remarried to Keely Shaye Smith. They are currently married and have two children, Dylan Thomas and Sean William. Although happily remarried, Brosnan remains loyal to his deceased wife stating, "Cassie has made me the man I am, the actor I am, the father I am. She's forever embedded in every fiber of my being".

His current and most popular role is that of British secret agent James Bond. Has incurred a permanent scar on the right side of his top lip after he was hit by a stunt man while filming the Bond blockbuster TOMORROW NEVER DIES (1997).

Pierce is claustrophobic, making certain scenes in 1997's DANTE'S PEAK very difficult to film.

In 1991 Brosnan was chosen by People magazine as one of the "50 Most Beautiful People" in the world. He would reclaim the honor for the 1996 edition as well. Five years later Brosnan was Voted "Sexiest Man Alive" by People Magazine in 2001.

Brosnan owns his own production company, Irish DreamTime. Its first film release was THE NEPHEW which debuted in 1998. Since THE NEPHEW, Pierce Brosnan has produced several other major motion pictures including 2004's LAW OF ATTRACTION in which Pierce also appears opposite Julianne Moore.

Brosnan produced the 2005 film MATADOR.
