Los Angeles, the daughter of Judy Garland and movie director
Vincente Minnelli.
Liza spent her early years on
the MGM movie lot, where both her parents spent long hours laboring
in various studio projects. She made her
movie debut at just 14 months, in her mother's picture, IN THE
GOOD OLD SUMMERTIME.
Liza won the Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal
of Sally Bowles, in the hit musical, CABARET.
This was Liza Minnelli's defining role.
Liza Minnelli has the distinction of being
the only child of two Oscar winners (Garland and Minnelli),
