Kirk Douglas with Wayne.

"I've made a career of playing sons
o' bi***'s". Those were the words of this late legend.
He had this rare talent to grab film critics and pull them
right out of their seats and notice his exceptional ability.
His first appearances may have raised skepticism in the
belief of his inevitable success, but in time that all faded
away, as his superb performances showed the true conviction
of this truly talented man.
Through movies like 'Ace In The Hole' (1951),
'The Bad And The Beautiful' (1952), 'Lust For Life' (1956),
'Spartacus' (1960), and 'Lonely Are The Brave' we see a
man who demanded respect, strove for the very feeling of
being respected. And in the end we see that he easily he
got his wish. (CD) |
