Swedish born leading actress who was trained at the Royal
Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm.
In 1950 she had a forbidden romance (since both were married)
with Italian director Roberto Rossellini. She did marry
him and they had three children before they got a divorce.
Then Ingrid Bergman married Lars Schmidt, a Swedish theatrical
producer.
