George Clooney was born on May 6, 1961 in Lexington, Kentucky.

Nick Clooney is George Clooney's father, Nick was a TV newscaster and hosted a Talk Show. His father started taking him to the studio at a young age, but it was his cousin Miguel Ferrer, also an actor, who helped Clooney get a small part in a film - and the rest is history.

The Clooney family has several members that have all become well known actors and actresses, George Clooney is the nephew of Rosemary Clooney and Betty Clooney. His uncle is Jose Ferrer and his cousin's are Miguel Ferrer and Rafael Ferrer.

In 2005 George Clooney won on Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in SYRIANA, Clooney is the second member of his family to win an Oscar. In 1950 Jose Ferrer won for Best Actor in CYRANO DE BERGERAC.

Actress Talia Balsam and George Clooney were married in December of 1989, however the two divorced in September of 1993.

George Clooney was the first guest when Rosie O'Donnell made her TV show debut.
