He said that he considered himself to be one of the luckiest men alive, we responded by commenting that he was too modest. He had a gift, and it was evident, and worthy of praise. And yet, for being a Mr. Average American Joe, this talented man was always in one of Hollywood's top ten box office hits throughout his time. He originally wanted to be a cartoonist.

But, lucky for us, his acting abilities could not be ignored because he has delivered some prime performances of sheer drama and entertainment, with enough perfection to win him two Oscars. Those two Oscars were given to him, for his performances in 1941's, "Seargent York", and '52 's , "High Noon". But he didn't just give credible performance n those two movies. He went on to entertain us in at least a dozen more films, like "The Pride Of The Yankees (1942), as well as 1936 's, "Mr. Deeds Goes To Town", and 1941's, "Ball Of Fire". He was a war veteran and delivered a farewell speech for Gehrig. At the end, he had fifteen thousand men crying. As Frank Capra once said, "That guy just represents America for me!"  (CD)
