Minnesota.
Until 1938 Richard Widmark taugh acting at Lake Forest after
graduation.
Richard Widmark made his radio debut in New York on the AUNT
JENNY'S REAL LIFE STORIES. As the Friday night host Richard
Widmark could be heard doing the CBS Radio's SEARS MYSTERY
THEATER in 1979. A voice-over regular on the popular 1930s
radio series GANGBUSTER, Richard Widmark featured weekly episodes
based actual crime incidents.
In 1943 Richard Widmark made his Broadway stage debut in
KISS AND TELL. In 1955 Richard Widmark first appeared on TV
in THE LUCY SHOW.
Making film history in the role as Tommy Udo in KISS OF DEATH,
was the role that Richard Widmark became a star.
In 2002 Richard Widmark was inducted into the Hall of Great
Western Performers of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage
Museum. In 1949 Richard Widmark's hand and footprints were
cast in cement at Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
