Radha Mitchell was born on November 12, 1973 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Since 1977, Radha Mitchell has lived in Los Angeles, California.

Radha Mitchell has appeared twice in 1984 and 1985 in the television show, NEIGHBOURS.

In 2002, Radha Mitchell co-starred with Kiefer Sutherland in the thriller, PHONE BOOTH. The film takes place entirely in a phone booth. The film received seven nominations.

The famous actor and director, Woody Allen, called Radha Mitchell on her cellular phone to personally offer her the title role in MELINDA AND MELINDA, in 2004. She thought the whole incident was a practical joke until the script was delivered to her. The film was a comedy drama with two alternating stories of Melinda, (played by Radha Mitchell), making attempts to straighten out her life.

In April 2004, Oscar Winner Denzel Washington denied reports that he insisted a love scene be cut from the film, MAN ON FIRE. The love scene in question, was with Radha Mitchell, his co-star.

In the fantasy horror drama, SILENT HILL, Radha Mitchell had the lead role as Rose Da Silva. The movie was based on a video game.

Radha Mitchell practices yoga and is a vegetarian.

The Film Critic Circle of Australia Awards nominated Radha Mitchell for her role in VISTORS, in 2004. The Screen Actors Guild nominated her for FINDING NEVERLAND, in 2005.

In 2004, Radha Mitchell was cast in FINDING NEVERLAND which is a biography family drama. She played the character Mary Ansell Barrie and co-starred with Johnny Depp. The film won an Oscar.
