Orlando Bloom was born on January 13, 1977 in Canterbury,
Kent, England.
Sometimes Orlando Bloom is credited as Lando, Orli or Orly.
In Orlando Bloom's training for THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY,
he became so skilled with the bow that his coach would throw
plates in the air and he would hit them with one shot. He
also had to learn a great deal of training with knives, horseback
riding, canoeing and archery before his role as Legolas Greenleaf
could come to life.
In 2002 Orlando Bloom was chosen as one of Teen People Magazine's
"25 Hottest Stars Under 25."
After graduating from Guildhall, Orlando Bloom began work
on the THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY, spending 18 months in
New Zealand bringing to life Legolas Greenleaf.

OF THE RING, Orlando Bloom fell off his horse and broke one
of his ribs.
In 1998, Orlando Bloom fell three stories from a rooftop
terrace and broke his back, feared to be paralyzed he fully
recovered and returned to acting.
