In 1978 Olivia Newton-John made it big on the big screen
playing sweet and innocent Sandy in the movie GREASE.
GREASE was a movie full of stars including the greaser Danny
Zuko played by John Travolta he had to protect his rep and
not let his buddys know that he fell in love over the summer
with Sandy played by Olivia Newton-John. One of Travolta's
buddies was Jeff Conaway who played Kenickie. Conaway is Olivia's
ex brother in law.
In 1983 they cast the movie TWO OF A KIND putting John Travolta,
and Olivia Newton-John together again. They became the couple
that would have to put everything aside and try to save the
world. Gene Hackman was also in this film as the voice of
God.
A tough year for Olivia Newton-John was in 1992 she had surgery
for breast cancer, declared bankruptcy, and her father passed
away from liver cancer. She did recover and bounce back in
the limelight in 1996 she was in IT'S MY PARTY.
Even though Olivia Newton-John is a great actress she is
best known as a singer, recording several hits including five
#1 hits, like Let Me Be There, I Honestly Love You, Have You
Never Been Mellow, Please Mr. Please, Summer Nights, You're
The One That I Want, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Magic, Xanadu,
Physical, A Little More Love, and Twist of Fate.
