About Marisa Tomei (1964- )
Dropped out of Boston University her sophomore year
when she got a co-starring role on the CBS daytime
drama "As the World Turns" (1956).
Marisa Tomei made the cross over into movies in "The
Flamingo Kid" (1984). One of her early memorable
roles was playing Sylvester Stallone's bratty daughter
in the comedy "Oscar". Also had a part as
silent-screen comedienne Mabel Normand, in the 1992
film "Chaplin."
Marisa Tomei was nominated for a second academy award
for her work in the drama, "In the Bedroom"
in 2001.
