Kate Mulgrew was born on April 29, 1955 in Dubuque, Iowa.
For the role that made Kate Mulgrew a star she got by chance,
the part of Capt. Janeway on STAR TREK:VOYAGER in 1995. Originally
turned down the role went to Geneviève Bujold, but Bujold
ended up backing out just two days into shooting, Mulgrew
again auditioned for the role, and won it!
Well known for her role as Admiral and as Capt. Kathryn Janeway
in STAR TREK: THE EXPERIENCE-BORN INVASION 4D in 2004, STAR
TREK: NEMESIS in 2002, STAR TREK VOYAGER: ELITE FORCE in 2000,
STAR TREK:VOYAGER in the 1995 TV Series, and STAR TREK:VOYAGER
- CARETAKER.
Only at the age of 23 Kate Mulgrew, played Kate Columbo in
a series created for her, MRS. COLUMBO in 1979. Playing the
wife of one of TV's most beloved detectives, Lt. Columbo.
Kate Mulgrew has appeared with Jonathan Frakes in four different
productions: CAMP NOWHERE in 1994, GARGOYLES in 1994, STAR
TREK: VOYAGER in 1995 and STAR TREK: NEMESIS in 2002.
Having several TV guest roles in series such as MURPHY BROWN,
MURDER, SHE WROTE, ST. ELSEWHERE and CHEERS.
In 1994 Kate Mulgrew brought to life the animated characters
Queen Titania/Anastasia Renard in the TV Series GARGOYLES.
Playing the role of Mary Ryan Fenelli Kate Mulgrew had a
