Jonathan Pryce (1947 - )

Jonathan Pryce was on born on June 1, 1947 in Holywell, Wales. His given birth name was Jonathan Price. His father, Issac Price, was a coal miner and his mother, Margaret Ellen, was a retail cashier.

Pryce left home at the age of sixteen to attend Art School which is where he became interested in Drama. Jonathan Pryce studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London on a scholarship. After graduation he joined the Liverpool Everyman Theater and eventually became its Artistic Director.

Jonathan Pryce became known of the London Stage in such productions as THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, HAMLET, and MEASURE FOR MEASURE.  He made his Broadway debut in 1977 for his work on COMEDIANS.  Jonathan Pryce made his big screen debut in VOYAGE OF THE DAMNED in 1976.

Kate Fahy, the Irish actress who starred in THE FOURTH ANGEL in 2001, is married to Jonathan Pryce. They have been married since 1974 and they have two sons and a daughter.  They currently live in England.
