Isla Fisher was born on February 3, 1976 in the Middle Eastern country of Oman to Scottish Parents. Fisher's mother is a romance novelist.
Fisher's stepbrother is Conor Reid, who is also an actor.
The Fisher family moved to Australia in the early 80's. At the age of nine, Isla Fisher was appearing in Australian TV Commercials. Shortly afterwards, Isla was cast in some small parts in the Australian TV series, BAY COVE in 1993. This led to a bigger part in the series PARADISE BEACH in 1993.
In 1988, Isla Fisher was cast in a role in the soap opera HOME AND AWAY. While working on the show, Fisher began writing and publishing two best selling novels, SEDUCED BY FAME and BEWITCHED.
Isla Fisher is presently engaged to Sacha Baron Cohen. He is the star of DA ALI G SHOW.
Isla Fisher's first job was a lottery ad extra. Isla was so excited that she hyperventilated for four hours and almost fainted.
