California. Heather passed away On February 1, 1988 in San
Diego, California from cardiopulmonary arrest.
Tammy O'Rourke is Heather O'Rourke's sister, Tammy had an uncredited
role in the 1982 musical ANNIE playing one of the Dancer/Orphans.
Starting at the young age of 3, Heather O'Rourke was in several
commercials for companies like Mattel and McDonalds.

Sadly Heather O'Rourke passed away while on a break from
filming POLTERGEIST III, a blonde stand in was used to complete
the movie. This was O'Rourke's final movie, it was also dedicated
to her memory.
According to Cinefantastique in July 1988 Heather O'Rourke
had one scene that really scared her in the 1982 movie POLTERGEIST.
Steven Spielberg stopped everything to comfort young O'Rourke
telling her she would not have to do that scene again. The
scene that scared her so bad was when she had to hold onto
the headboard, while a wind machine blew toys into the closet
behind her.
