George Carlin (1961 - )

George Carlin was born on May 12, 1936 in new York, New York.

Georgie Porgie is George Carlin's nickname.

George Carlin is married to Benda Carlin who was the producer and set director of several of the GEORGE CARLIN shows and series.

In 1966 George Carlin wrote the TV series THE KRAFT SUMMER MUSIC HALL. He didn't stop there, George Carlin also wrote THE FLIP WILSON SHOW in 1970. Carlin is also the writer of his own TV speicals.

George Carlin has a very funny standup comedy act, there is a strong emphasis on social commentary and language.

Not only is George Carlin an actor and comedian, he has also put out to a few albums. Carlin has received two Grammys for his albums Fm & Am and Jammin' In New York.

Bringing to life a few animated characters and becoming a voice that children can recongize, George Carlin was the voice of Zugor in the 2005 movie TARZAN II, in 1990 Carlin was the voice of Rufus in BILL & TEDS EXCELLENT ADVENTURES TV Series. It would be the voice of the narrator and some of the engines that George Carlin did his best voice work in the series THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE & FRIENDS.

Jack Burns and George Carlin teamed up in 1960, they were a popular comedy team until 1962. This was when Carlin went solo with his standup career.

On January of 1987 George Carlin received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In 1994 George Carlin was inducted into the Comedy Hall of Fame. Carlin was also #2 in Comedy Central's 100 Greatest Standups of All Time.

George Carlin was the first host on the series SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE.
