Fisher Stevens moved from Chicago at the age
of 13 to start an acting career in New York City. He studied
with Dan Fauci, and Uta Hagen. Fisher began acting in off
off off Broadway productions at the age of 14. Fischer Stevens
has since been in 20 stage productions on Broadway including
544 performances in Harvey Fierstein's "Torch Song Triology",
both on and off Broadway. Stevens has formed his own off off
off broadway production company, Naked Angels.
Though mostly known for his stage performances,
Fisher Stevens started his film career at the age of 16, being
the victim in the film, THE BURNING (his head is chopped off.).
Fisher's first hit which got him noticed was his portrayal of Hawk
Ganz in the hit comedy film THE FLAMINGO KID, where he co-starred
with Matt Dillon in 1984.
