David Warner
began his career with the Royal Shakespeare Company in London, as an attractive blonde leading man. When middle aged,he transitioned to playing a delicious host of villains in films.
In 1963, David Warner played Mr. Blifil, the jealous, uptight half brother of the wild, cherub title character, played by Albert Finney in the classic movie, TOM JONES, a Henry Fielding adaptation.
David Warner starred with Vanessa Redgrave in the 1966 movie, MORGAN!, the story of an immature, gorilla obsessed dreamer and his soon-to-be estranged wife. IN the 1968 film, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, he starred as Lysander, along with Dianna Rigg and Helen Mirren, fellow Royal Shakespeare Company actors.
In 1976, Warner played a photographer and friend of beleaguered Gregory Peck in the horror flick, THE OMEN, the tale of the birth and fostering of the anti-Christ. He played Sark, a computer program run amuck, in the Disney sci-fi flick, TRON [1982].
David Warner played a human in STAR TREK V: THE FINAL FRONTIER [1989. Subsequently, he played, a Klingon in STAR TREK VI: THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY [1991] and then a Cardassian interogator in the television series, STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION [1992].
David Warner was one an ensemble of players in James Cameron's huge hit, TITANIC [1997], with Kate Winslet, Leonardo di Caprio and Kathy Bates. David Warner played Senator Sandar in the remake, PLANET OF THE APES [2001]
David Warner has played roles nearly 200 roles in films and television programs.
