American leading man born in New York city. On October 10, 2004 Christopher Reeve passed away in Mount Kisco, New York from a heart attack.

While working as an actor Christopher Reeve studied at Cornell university.

Toph was a childhood nickname as an adult Christopher Reeve went by Chris.

Along with Margot Kidder, Jackie Cooper and Marc McClure, Christopher Reeve was one of only four actors to appear in all four SUPERMAN movies.

In 1994 Christopher Reeve starred opposite Michael Keaton in SPEECHLESS. Keaton and Reeve portrayed DC Comics two most iconic characters, BATMAN and SUPERMAN.

In the filming of the first SUPERMAN movie, Christopher Reeve wore nearly 25 different Superman costumes. Some of which were specifically for walking, and others that were for flying, and some for lighting.

John Carpenter's remake of VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED in 1995 was Christopher Reeve's last theatrical film.

During his final year of Cornell, Christopher Reeve was one of two students selected to study at New York's famous Juilliard School of Performing Arts, under the renowned John Houseman, the other student was Robin Williams. At Juilliard Christopher Reeve was roommates with Robin Williams. They remained close friends for the remainder of Reeve's life.

In 1976, Christopher Reeve made his Broadway debut starring opposite Katharine Hepburn in A MATTER OF GRAVITY.

His weight trainer for SUPERMAN in 1978 was British weight lifting champion David Prowse, who played Darth Vader in STAR WARS in 1977, STAR WARS: EPISODE V - THE EMPIRE STIKES BACK in 1980 and STAR WARS: EPISODE VI - RETURN OF THE JEDI in 1983.

Christopher Reeve said he based his portrayal of Clark Kent in the SUPERMAN films on a younger Cary Grant.

One of the last characters that Christopher Reeve played before his riding accident was a paralyzed individual, in the film ABOVE SUSPICION in 1995.

Christopher reeve's autobiography, Still Me was a bestseller, and Christopher Reeve was working on another book at the time of his death.

Christopher Reeve was the tallest out of the five actors who have played SUPERMAN the others who have played the role of Superman are Kirk Alyn, George Reeves, Dean Cain and Tom Welling.
