Carrie-Anne Moss was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.  Carrie-Anne was named after The Hollies 1967 song "Carrie Anne."  At the age of 20 Carrie-Anne Moss moved to Europe to pursue a career in modeling.

Carrie-Anne Moss landed a regular role on the TV show Dark Justice in (1991).

In THE MATRIX Carrie-Anne played the svelt hacker, Trinity, in all three Matrix movies for the big screen.  She was quoted as saying, "After The Matrix (1999), I cannot wear sunglasses. As soon as I put them on, people recognize me".

In CHOCOLAT  [2000], she played one of the residents of the repressed town in which a beautiful choclotier  [Juliet Binoche] shakes up the joint with her sensuous confections.

In MEMENTO [2000] Carrie-Anne Moss was key player in a complicated thriller about a man tracking the killer of his wife through a mysterious set of clues revealed in tattoos.

Carrie-Anne Moss plays the hardworking widow of a man killed in a car accident, whose son, under house arrest for punching a teacher at school, begins to have fantasies about his neighbor and murder in the 2007 thriller DISTURBIA. 

Moss is married to actor Steve Roy II and they have two children.  She talks about her motivation: "I think dreams are important to inspire us to get out of bed every morning."
