Bud Cort was Born on March 29, 1948 in New Rochelle, New York.
Bud's Birth Name is Walter Edward Cox.
It was while in a comedy review called "Free Fall", at Upstairs
at the Downstairs in 1969, that Cort was "discovered" by director
Robert Altman. Later Robert Altman cast Bud Cort in MASH (1970)
and later that year, in Brewster McCloud (1970).
Bud was awarded the Crystal
Star for Best Actor for his work in HAROLD AND MAUDE, from the Academy of Cinema, Paris, France,
as well as a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor for the
film.
Bud Cort was in a very serious road accident in 1979, leading
to years of plastic surgery and a huge disruption in his career.
In 1991 Bud Cort directed and co-wrote TED AND VENUS.
