Brian Keith was born on November 14, 1921 in Bayonne, New
Jersey. On June 24, 1997 Brian Keith passed away in Malibu,
California. Brian Keith suffered from emphysema and had lung
cancer. His apparent suicide happened after he returned from
a stay at a hospital. At the time of his death, he was dealing
with terminal respiratory illness and the recent suicide (gunshot)
of his daughter, Daisy, only ten weeks prior.
In 1924 at age 3 Brian Keith was in film PIED PIPER MALONE
with his father.
Probably best known for his TV work as the star of A FAMILY
AFFAIR (1966-71). Brian Keith began acting in radio programs
and on stage before World War II. After the war he returned
to the Broadway stage and branched into TV and films.
