Billy Zane was born William George Zane Jr. on February
24, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois.
Born to Greek parents, Zane is deeply influenced by his
culture and is fluent with the native tongue. As a teenager,
Billy began to pursue a career in acting, attending the
Harand Camp of the Theater Arts in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
In 1982 Zane would attend the American School in Switzerland
to further hone his talents. Upon graduating high school,
Zane ventured to California in hopes of landing a first
role, and find the beginnings of a career in Hollywood.
Billy's first big screen role was in 1985's "Back
to the Future" starring alongside Michael J. Fox and
Christopher Llyod.
With a brief intercession of small roles, Zane spent about
a decade building his resume, preparing to launch himself
to star status in the later part of the nineties. In 1996,
Zane would appear in the production of "The Phantom".
By 1997 however, Zane would become a household name, known
for his remarkable performance as the detestable Cal Hockley
in the acclaimed Blockbuster, "Titanic".
Zane is the voice of Broderick 'Brodi' Ford in the EA Sports
Big game SSX Tricky (for Playstation2, Nintendo Gamecube,
Xbox).
Billy Zane played the role of Billy Flynn in the Broadway
musical "Chicago".
