Barbara Bach was born Barbara Goldbach on August 27, 1947, in Queens, New York. She earned a Masters degree in Psychology from UCLA, in 1993.
Bach met August Gregorini in New York, where she worked as a model. The couple married and had two children. She began working in Italian films.
In 1977, Barbara Bach played the Russian spy, Anya Amasova, in THE SPY WHO LOVED ME, starring with Roger Moore as James Bond; better known as Agent 007. Of her stint as a Bond Girl, Bach remarked, "Bond is a chauvinist pig who uses girls to shield him against bullets."
Ringo Starr is Barbara Bach's second husband. They met on the set of the 1980 movie, CAVEMAN; the two were married in April of 1981.
Bach next appeared in FORCE 10 FROM NAVARONE, in 1978, with Harrison Ford. She was known as Queen of the B-Movies, for her performances in such films as the 1979 THE GREAT ALLIGATOR, and the 1980 movie, THE UNSEEN.
