Amanda Peet was born on January 11, 1972 in New York, New
York. Her big acting break came in 1995 when she was cast
for a guest role on the hit series "Law and Order".
In 1995 Amanda Peet made her feature film debut in the movie
"Animal Room". From then on she starred in several
indie films and was also cast as the memorable Jack in the
TV comedy series "Jack and Jill" (1999).
In 2000 she would star alongside boyfriend-to-be Brian Van
Holt in the indie-film "Whipped" . But it was the
hit comedy "The Whole Nine Yards", starring opposite
Bruce Willis, that landed Amanda Peet leading lady star-status.
In 2000 Amanda Peet was voted one of the "50 Most Beautiful
People in the World" by People Magazine. In 2002 Amanda
Peet was ranked #44 in Stuff magazine's "102 Sexiest Women
in the World".
Amanda is engaged to David Benioff (as of 2005).
