Alison Marion Lohman was born on September 18, 1979 in Palm
Springs, California.
At 9 Alison Lohman had her first professional, theatrical
role as Gretyl in "The Sound of Music" performed
at the Palm Desert's McCallum Theater. By 11, Alison won the
Desert Theater League's award for "Most Outstanding Actress
in a Musical" for the title role in "Annie" (1990).
Alison Lohman is an accomplished singer; she performed as
a featured solo vocalist for Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, and
the Desert Symphony.
In her early 20s Alison Lohman began to turn heads with her
cinematic roles such as the troubled teen in 2002's "White
Oldeander" starring alongside Michelle Pfeiffer. In 2004
Lohman wowed audiences with her rendition of a 14 year old
girl in "Matchstick Men" (2003) starring opposite
Nicholas Cage, and again as Sandra Bloom in "Big Fish".
Recently Lohman appeared in "The Big White" (2005)
and "Where the Truth Lies"(2005). At such a young
age, with such talent and spark, it's assured we haven't seen
the best of Lohman yet.
